Help, 6 mpg!!! Why!!!!!?????

If you even suspect your intake gasket is leaking, I'd replace that next... Mine solved a lot of problems, such as no power, bad fuel economy, poor braking, slight loss of coolant, etc...
DON'T use the supplied rubber end gaskets!!! They just start leaking right away...

Cool, what would i use instead of the rubber gaskets?? and what are the best gaskets to use??? Hopefully that would put an end to the horrid oily stink the truck has lol. Yah theirs some puddles of oil on the manifold. i tried tightening the bolts but wont fix a bad gasket

I use a high temp silicone for the front and back seals on the intake. Squeeze out a 1/4 inch bead and let it set for a few and then place the intake on, let it sit for a few and then torque it down. I use Mr. Gasket for the gasket.

yup, center out, alternating sides... 35 lb's, iirc.... any chilton's, etc has that..
