Help! Aamco, may have gotten me!

that would work too, but you end up with the spacers and nut coming down from the frame. It really should be:

nut
spacer
frame
member
head

mix in a couple washers

Yeah you guys are right the bolt should go up from the bottom so that threads cant get damaged if you high center.

Another update - got blazer back so far so good. they gave the job to what appeared to be competent mechanics. They did the work, re-installed all rods, fixed cross member, bolts, breather tube and also ran new cooler lines. They cleaned and painted parts, crossmember, re-loomed wires, and all is ok....so far!

It shifts ok, I'll check the fluid tomorrow. I am taking the blazer to an exhaust shop for some work which aamco will pay for.

Anyway - 3-4 trips there and am relieved its almost over. Almost that is....now my interior lights on dash are out and radio wont turn on. heater blower and overhead light is ok. I believe my interior idiot buzzer is out too. Took out a couple fuses and they look ok????????

Anyway...tks for the support

Now..... I would get a hold of AAMCO's regional manager,,,,find his name on their website or by contacting the corporate "contact us" web link.

Type out all of your concerns and issues and include this thread in the e-mail..

I did the same exact thing with NTB after they screwed me over on a lugnut issue....and believe me....they were on top of it like stink on ****...

here is my thread..

They don't want a bunch of bad publicity on forums such as CK5.

A regional rep will have a lot more stroke than a local manager at a shop does...
