DIY4X has some pretty cool stuff. but nothing really compares to purple cranium products diff covers and spiders. i just purchased a PCP rear diff cover for my 14 bolt, it has a .500 thick steel flange that is CNC plasma cut, then the backing is .250 thick cold rolled steel exterior welded inside and out. Cover features 45 deg. Bottom angle faces, to deflect rocks rather than sitting on top of them. An integrated stainless steel drain plug that cannot be sheared off, a stainless steel top fill plug and combination dipstick to make filling and checking fluid levels a breeze. A heavy-duty magnet is epoxied on the inside bottom of the cover to catch any metal particles that may be in your fluid; all mounting holes are counterbored to protect the stainless steel alen head bolts. A stock Chevy 14 Bolt cover weighs 2 pounds, the Rock Crusher weighs in at 18 pounds, 18 pounds of solid steel protection. All covers are powder coated a black hammertone inside and out and all stainless steel fasteners are included. so you really cant go wrong with that. they make it for the dana 60,44 and sterling rearends. plus they can powder coat it to just about any color too

umm can you say way overkill. not that there is anything wrong with that though. its just ive had direct hit on a standard glo cover thats 1/4" plate and it deflects it like its nothin. To me it just get to a point where its more about bragging rights then actual protection.

Well, my covers didn't make the list, but at least we got a mention :D

We've got a cover for damn near anything, :D

Sorry guys, I already got dibs on the first one....and I've got a stack of PMs to prove it :D :doah: :D :doah: :eek1:

well who ever checks the vender forum first gets the first one :p:

Yes, the 60 cover will be a razorback as well. I'm going to get the rear 60 down tomorrow and start work on it. Later this week I'll have a prototype done.
What... no love for the D44? :D

Hey Cyberfire , I got a rear D70 center section that could be yours, would make a nice jig/fixture for 60/70 cover. Next time your through Cincinnati swing by and pick it up ....... and maybe make me a sweet deal on a couple of your products..:wink1: ..

Jeff

WMS cover is a nice product just a little on the $$ side. I love the look of the Crane cover but it's much$$, always wanted to get one and sand it smooth like a AMC model 20 , would be different.

I'll do that next time i'm in Cincinnati.

gotcha, your talking about a gaurd, i thought you ment cover.

I have the front dana 60 cover and the rear 14 bolt cover both with counter sunk holes and both from Great Lake Offraod. These are very strong covers and have seen much abuse. Just my 2 cents.

i think there nice but its a free country

Anybody make a steel cover that is designed to slide over stuff? Kind of like Kert's but with the "razors" covered up?

It's nice to be able to slide over stuff with a shaved rear differential... but if backing up stock-style covers make the housing act like a barb on a hook.

My best example is going to be Crane:
