Help me get my 6.2 running

Nope, after testing the glow plugs and all of them testing good, it still won't start, also the starter is back to makin the crazy high pitched whiny noise when turning over which I think is because one of the starter bolt holes is stripped so you can't get one of the bolts all the way tight. I've decided to sell the truck, I'm not gonna lose money on it and I've already got people wanting to come get it but I may end up parting it out. O well. This truck was really kind of an impulse buy because it's lifted on 35s and has a diesel, and is the upscale trim so it's got all the luxuries and I was thinking wow 800 bucks. So I bought it and thought it would be easy to get going and start driving but I guess you can't win everytime. I don't regret buying it because it coulda gone the other way and been easy to get running and I could be driving it right now. Anyway I just thought it was too good of a deal to pass up, and really it still is, I could part the thing out and double my money or sell it and just break even, I'm fine with either I just haven't decided yet. What do you think?

It is easy to get running, it's a simple engine. It probably needs a new injection pump, the PO said so IIRC.

Pull the pump, have local injection shop rebuild it, reinstall. Helicoil starter bolt, drive truck.

If it get it running you can make a whole lot more then the $600 you are going to spend. That and it seems a shame to part out a perfectly descent vehicle over a bad IP. Not trying to be an arse, just my two cents.

Im not gonna part it out. I've got a guy supposed to be picking it up tomorrow for 1000 bucks. I just don't really have 600 bucks to spend on an Ip right now, and don't want to risk it when something else could be bad. You know? I'd rather put the money into my 76 k5 which I am way more interested in.

I understand not having the funds... Believe me, I understand that all too well. Well, sorry you didn't get it running. I am sure it is a disappointment. Glad you are not parting it out though.
