Bienvenido a CK5. Entiendo que desea actualizar sus 10 tornillos por lo que el neumático no caerse si se rompe un eje. Te recomiendo que obtenga un perno 14 GM y sustituir el eje trasero. Debe de perno en la misma ubicación y más fiable que el Eliminador de c-clip. Desea estar seguro que el yugo es extraíble; Esto indica que se trata de un completo-floater. Si el yugo no es extraíble es una semi-floater. Si encuentras un Dana 60 desde una otra marca de camión y las perchas de primavera no puede les cortó y soldadura perchas nueva primavera donde los necesite. También puede que necesite soldar nuevos montajes de choque. Si tienes el tiempo y habilidades podría hacer apenas alrededor de cualquier eje pesados caben en su Blazer. Buena suerte y sea seguro.

I figure I would post it up anyway. The point I was going to make was that if you have the skills and the time you can make almost any heavy duty truck axle fit on the Blazer.

From what I know about a standard 10 bolt axle to use a kit like that you would have to extend the hubs out further. Which I would really question if it made it actually stronger. I would think something like that would actually make the axle weaker.

The entire idea of a full floating axle is to take the weight of the vehicle off the axle. Thus only the rotational forces act on the axle. In this case it looks like they do that. BUT the weight is then transfered to the hub which becomes the weak link in the chain. Maybe someone else can provide more details. But I wouldn't put something like that under my truck.

If your gonna invest that kind of money get a dana 60. It's so much stronger and a better option.

you could also do a disc conversion, which would hold the axles enough to get off the trail. Better stopping, but not stronger.

I think the comment was towards you. You said good luck having a K5 in a place that doesn't have K5's. And I think he was just commenting that it has been running great since 1998.
