I love body lifts. Makes it easier to wash, pull trannys, clock tcase without floor mods, cheap extra ground clearance. I run a 3in and don't have one negative effect to speak of.

I wish I could say the same. Two of my friends have 3"body lifts, and both of them have several body lift puck-sized holes in their cab and bed. Really depends if rust is an issue, and what area of the country you live in. That being said, I have a 1" and it seems fine. All I had to do was mess with my shifter linkages, took 5 minutes.

The shifter linkage gave me fits, so I put a ratchet in its place. What gets a lot of people is the tcase shifters, as you have to cut the floor up to clear them. Word of advice, buy 2wd carpet if you were ever to replace it, as 4wd carpet the shifter hole will be wrong.

My reasoning is its the "easiest" thing to eliminate to go lower. It also won't change anything about your driveline if you pull it.

Changing leaf springs is a hell of alot easier then pulling a body lift in the rust belt. and between a 4" and a 2" wouldn't effect the drivelines at all there all stock at those heights anyways

How 'bout a simple change? Wheels and tires. Seriously. A 17" wheel and 35" tire will give you a smaller sidewall which will increase lateral stability. Those sizes are also available in load range D and E (not sure what you have now) which is better suited for towing.

Find some 6 to 8 lug adapters and you can borrow my wheel/tire set up for a weekend and see if it helps.

I made up my mind and I am going to stick with the way it is through the winter then do a 35" All Terrain in the spring. I'll think about doing 17"s then too.

I think thats the best route........ well with exception to my idea of zero rates and 37".........
