1/2 ton status
alright...she just won't listen to me...holly is such a b*tch...lol..no I bought a nice holly last week and have spent the last week regretting it. doesn't fit onto the rig easily,...does anything ever!!.. and i have remodeled the throttle cable and the throttle cable bracket to make it work...but it looks shabby. also a large vacuum line runs off the left side of the carb (assume to brake booster line) and runs smack dab into EGR! so EGR has to come off!! will this be a problem?? read a little from "grim reaper" on that and sounds like it might be. also I think the carb came of a manual because there is no way to hook up the kickdown cable...another thing I will remodel and hope to see it work!!! ugh...I didn't really want to get into this deep of a remod yet...just wanted to get a carb and this was the best deal I found!!
basic questions I have are:
is there an aftermarket throttle cable to convert from Q-jet carb to holly?
will blocking EGR cause major issues down the road? (don't have emissions)
is there an aftermarket bracket to attatch to this thing?
vacuum advance from distributor, does that plug into left sided small vacuum port?
I will post some pics when I get home...in between classes at school right now. thank you in advance for any help! right now it's a pain..hopefully be worth it in the end
