I'm stuck with how to mount my gauges for my rig. I have a stock bezel, but the gauges I`m using are 2 1/16th, and 3 1/8th inches, so not quite as big as factory. Until I can get a custom dash ;);), I need to rig something up so I can have them in the truck. Any ideas? I tried one idea of putting sheet metal over the "face" of the bezel, but that failed miserably, and I still couldn`t figure out how I would cut the holes....

TIA!

Mine are mounted just like the factory did them:D

idk how well this would work, but i wanna strip my dash pad down and when i do im gonna look more into it, but i thought about trying to get a piece of diamond plate bent just like the stock dash and cutting out my holes to fit. idk how it would work, but in my head it looks sweet:D

If you want to cover the front of the dash with something that looks good buy a brushed stainless kick panel that they put on bottoms of doors, like in buisnesses or hospitals or offices. They should sell them at lowes or home depot, can't cost that much.

thats not quite what i was thinkin but i like it! looks sweet! what kind of diamond plate did you use in order to bend it like that?

it wasnt very thick i think its 1/16th thick had a piece laying around the shop so i decided to do something with it

I cut the holes bigger in the gauge plate and mounted 2 1/16 in the openings.
I haven’t mounted the gauge bezel yet, but a test fit made it looks like the alinement is going to be little bit off.

Ben, when I mounted the one 2 1/16 water temp gauge into my factory bezel, I used a 2 1/16 hole saw and centered the bit over the opening. When the gauge is in place, it basically lines up with the original chrome that went around the edge. Sorry, I don't have a camera to take a pic. The only problem I have run into is that the angle makes it a bit hard to see through the center of the range (short sweep gauge), but not unbearable.

When I did mine, I sanded/ground the backside of the dash smooth then I applied some jb weld and mounted a plate to the back, I measured and drilled my holes with a holesaw and this is the result!
