in the next few days i will snap some more pics of the rear steer set up, the front steering, brakes, oil pan clearance, and what not.....

well thanks, i think it looks a lot meaner now myself, but i really liked the straight body....it took me a while to not fear body damage (thanks daniel)...

but no, i do not lock it out on the street, i just try really hard not to hit the button lol...i know i probably should, but i havnt figured out a quick and easy way....any suggestions?

Quick release pins on the cylinder ends so you can remove it and replace it with a solid link? You'd have to have a spot nearby where you could store the cylinder without removing the lines.

Or just quick release pins on a solid link that is parallel to the cylinder?

ya, i may try that....a solid link opposite the ram with some quick release pins...why didnt i think of that :doah:.....i would feel alot safer on the street that way....

Lol been there with being under the truck. I hate that feeling of "jeeze I hope the wind dont blow to strong and move a grain of dirt under the tires while I'm banging on this broken part" :D

That towrig of your has to be screaming in pain :doah:

yea, i find myself in that position pretty often...that particular time is when i found out my rear driveshaft did not have enough slip and ripped the output shaft out of the tcase :doah:

Was your truck a 1/2ton to start with? The reason I ask is if it was a 1/2 ton frame how is it holding up to the cummins? Also are you running just pinion brakes on the street?

How loud is it with the snorkle on the dash like that?

Your windshield looks like mine. :doah:

the truck was a 3/4 ton to start with, had a 14SF and an 8-lug 10-bolt...pretty much the same frame i believe though...it appears to be holing up pretty good...i did some checking on the wieght of the cummins and the wieght of a 454 and they are pretty close...also i used the stock motor mount location so i didnt figure i would have any problems...time will tell tho.....and yes, for now all i am running are the pinion brakes on the street...bad, i know, but i cant afford wheel brakes right now....but i dont even touch them till about 5mph, i downshift....i dont hardly drive it on the street that much anyway, just to the car wash and the gas station, sometimes its cool to go to wal-mart or dairy queen just to look like a badass  lol

it gets kinda loud sometimes with the turbo, but i love it  .....
and ya, my windshield used to be PERFECT...but when i was putting the cummins in the engine hoist would barely not pick it far enough so i was standing on the cowl manipulating it over the hood latch, and when it finally cleared i fell back and sat on the windshield, i was so pist...

Man that's an awesome rig... I remember it before and it just keeps getting better. :)
