How do these axles look to you? (14b FF/D60)

It's definitely a CUCV. It has the 24 volt system, the truck looks like one. (Has the correct bumpers... single exhaust...etc)

The truck pictured definitely has dual exhaust.

Look at the 4th and last picture. That truck has dual exhaust. Not saying that its not a CUCV but that truck has duals.

Yeah, you are right. I was remembering this picture thinking I only saw one exhaust pipe, but that's because you can only see one side of the truck. It definitely does have dual exhaust looking at that other pic.

Here are some more pics I was sent:

The pitbull is nice extra touch... :)

none of them came stock with dual exhaust...atleast the diesels didn't...

Thats a bold statement. Both i bought have the 6.2 with dual pipes and EVERY truck at Ft Stewart that is still in service has dual exhaust with the 6.2's. There are still plenty of these iN service here in GA.

Mine has dual exhaust... I was told they all did. I would be interested in the brace running from the 208 to the bell housing and the two small braces on the front of the trans if it's got'em. Mind didn't.

Help you make some of your money back. :D

Oh, yeah... and I paid a little more than that for a M1008 that had 40K miles and needed some TLC... but was all there and in good shape.

every 6.2 i have seen has duals even all the military trucks.i have a truck just like it sitting here and it has duals and a friends k5 version has duals.
if the truck runs good pull the axles and swap in your 1/2 tons and resell it,probly get close to what you paid for it that way.

damn, i should have worded it diff. none of the ones i bought had them(that's what i was thinking, but my fingers didn't type that)haha...sorry bout that man....something smells fishy about this.

both of my m1008's have dual exhaust as well. good find, but yeah I wouldnt pay for than $1000 for one.

For this truck, if you end up wanting to make him an offer, I would offer $1500.

I would NOT pay 2 grand for this truck, especially if its just the axles you want. I am sure there is water in the carriers if its been sitting water, especially swamp water at the looks of the seaweed hanging down. the outside seals will collapse and let the water into the axles. So you are looking at a lot of cleaning and replacement of all seals, and such.
Even if you want to keep the truck together, you will still have to rebuild the axles to drive it around.

my personal opinion is i would keep looking unless you broke what you have now...

$2k seems high.... I know, I know... around here a d60 front dually runs $900 and guaranteed it needs to be rebuilt.. .then a 14bff with 4.56's can be had for $50-$100.... detroit lets say $500..... so your numbers are close.... but there are deals out there... times are tough.. these axles will not pull mega dollars to the guy that was going to put them into his mall cruizer that needs cash to pay for daycare.... or something like that

i drove on a d44 for a long time with 4.56's and 33's..I know small tires.. but when time came I found a 1ton for $500 with a d60 front... when i took it home and pulled the front diff cover.... H2O was in it... tons of it.. but it cleaned out nicely.... 4.56 and detroit fitted in it and it is still good to go (although hasnt left the driveway in almost 1.5 years...)...

there is a big florida meet.. guys down there at the local bogg run tractor tires... 50-77"..... bet if you could get in with that croud.. someone would be willing to part with a d60/14bff that they took out to put militaries in :wink1:
