How far can you drive with cement in your tranmission?

if you disconnect the driveshafts, and unbolt the flywheel, you can start and rev the engine without spinning the trans and causing any damage. then buy a case of beer, and use it as leverage to get a group of guys to push the truck anywhere you want to go. you can keep driving as long as you can afford the beer.

O man its a long story. I thought if I didnt drive it it would work awesome at mixing the cement for my walk and still be ok as long as I put gear oil back in it.

Why would this be a joke. Happened right after I drove my truck with no diff fluid in it and wondered if it everything was still ok.

I think if you drive it before the cement hardens, you'll be OK.

See thats what I've thought. I've had it idling in neutral for the last 16 hours just to make sure it doesnt harden.

You could unbolt it from the adaptor and remove the front drive shaft and itl just spin.Might hit the floor a few times and vibrate a little but you can get the rear wheels spinning.

What size aggregate in the cement mix? Will cement even harden in oil? Concrete on the other hand...

yes it has granny low. I have no idea what grade cement it is. I'm not a housing/construction type of person I just used the extra stuff my neighbor said I could help myself too. I did make sure I didnt add any rocks or anything to it though.
Ya know in hind sight it probably would have been smarter to disconnect the driveshaft and rig up some sort of prop to put into a bucket.
I'll see if my camera is working and maybe take pictures for those of you that dont believe me...
