How many Delco parts are made in China now?

When I recently bought a TBI fuel pump I did some brand research. The past it has always be Delco first, but lately I noticed people complaining more about them. Seems to be linked to the China thing.

I ended up with a Bosch pump which was labeled as made in Brazil. :dunno:

The AC/Delco pumps I bought for my truck (PN# EP377) say "Made in Brazil" as well. They probably are the same pump off the same assembly line, just in different boxes.

This is all a huge side bonus of the GMs bailout. They shifted the debt to the smaller guys, and that was impossible for them to absorb. It also does wonders for crushing unions.
There is truth in this. I used to work for Delphi and GM rolled some of this downhill, like "all your prices must come down 15% for next year" and the suppliers are laden with union cost just like GM is and can't do it. Delphi aftermarket is a brand and isn't necessarily the same as the OEM parts (like it used to be). They can outsource manufacturing of aftermarket parts just like anybody else. In the short term, the "Delphi" or "AC Delco" brand name means "original equipment" to the buyer, but after a while people figure out which parts are quality and which aren't.

Window motors. Tried to say coin last year buy eBaying the 1A brand. Said 1A parts lasted less than 3 days and had to put the old Delco's back in as i was doing it while the door was getting all new felts and seals. I have noticed to save some money try and find a Delphi number for the part and then hit eBay. Saved a ton on a set of brand new Delphi fuel injectors for my 6.0.
