How many miles is to many on a used diesel pickup?

Some good news, yesterday I was playing around with the TRS plug and found a pin wasn't pushed all the way into the back of the plug, corrected this but didn't seem to change anything. Driving today she auto shifts like a champ. One problem down. :thumb:

glow plugs arent terrible to do, but have to be patient with any that are stuck.

Are you sure it needs glow plugs? It is very common to have a bad glow plug relay

If you do replace the plugs, the original motorcraft/beru still seem to hold up the best.

Well I couldn't find a good deal on a cummins, don't rub it in. :( :D

Or a 4 door! :D
Glow plugs are pretty easy. Do the harness and valve cover gaskets too. I picked it all out up for just under $400 from riff raff diesel. I read a bunch on the glow plugs and the general conscious is to stick with motorcraft. The off brands work but the tips swell after little use. which makes them hard to impossible to get out with out head removal. If you want to do the gpr I can shoot you the part number that is a much better than stock one. Mine was only $60 from mcmaster carr last year.
