How much air do I need? *pics of new compressor*

My mistake ... this is the compressor Lowes has on sale that I've been looking at. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=99007-71025-VLK1582609&lpage=none

So .... junk or a decent deal (for what I'll be using it for) ?

This is a better compressor for the same price: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?cat=Compressors+%26+Air+Tools&pid=00916732000&vertical=TOOL&subcat=Air+Compressors+%26+Inflators&BV_UseBVCookie=Yes

I have that compressor but if I could do it over again, I'd go with and oiled type. Other than being noisy, I don't honestly have any other complaints about it and it's been a good compressor. I've never needed more air than I've got but I don't do alot of large jobs that require it.

its direct drive and oil-less = LOUD AS ^&*)! I dont want to be within 20 feet of it when its charging (inside a garage anyway, outside = not too bad)

I see Sears has a flier in the paper today with it on sale that include assorted tools with it. I went back to Lowes and looked at their 30 gal. portable one that is belt driven ($379). Does belt driven alone mean it'll be quieter? By the time I add on their Kobalt 4-tool kit ($99.94) and their Task Force 41pc spray gun kit (this any good ?) for ($59.96) and a 50 ft rubber hose for $29.96 I'm up to around $550. That's with a 10% discount if I open a Lowes credit card. I've checked our local Northern Tool, Harbor Freight and Home Depot but can't find anything better.

Yeah, belt driven normally indicates an oiled compressor which would be quieter. Like I said, the only issue I've had with my 33 Gal. Craftsman is the noise but other than that its great. We actually have that same Craftsman compressor in one of the shops at work and that thing is continually abused. They actually used it yesterday to run a small diaphragm pump (they needed a portable compressor) and the compressor ran much continually for more than an hour. Although it couldn't quite supply the needed SCFM for maximum pumping it did the job good enough.

IR makes a nice 60gal 220v compressor. Check northerntool.com, when I bought mine it was free shipping. Puts out plenty of air for me and my dad to run grinders at the same time. Quiet too.
