how much did you pay to have your rear d shaft lengthened??

there is a local guy ONE EYE"S, that alot of people use. so i dropped mine off tonight. $105.00 for three inches.( sorry TJ, it seems i'll never get to your house to do it). so does that sound about right?? he's been doing it for 30 years. from cars to kenworths. thanks

Around here $75 to shorten and rebalance is normal, I would think that $100+ for lengthening plus balance isn't bad.

It would have been more $ to retube and lengthen my old driveline, so i found one that I think was from a shortbed and had it shortened. Cost 95 bucks, and that was with a new 1350 yoke installed.

There is a guy around here that trues and balances shafts for around $35 and he straightens them with heat. Pretty cool, and you get it back all clean with the joints full of synthetic grease.

yea, it seemed pretty reasonable.he had some huge aluminum shafts in the back. i wonder if that would be cool. i mostly mud.

I got mine lengthened 4 inches and had a new yoke put in for $205... sounds like a pretty good deal for $105

my brother paid $85.00 10 years ago with him,so i thought it would be alot more.i get it wednesday so now i can really drive the crap out of JR. WOOHOO

I just had a shaft done last week. I needed to go +2" due to lift and 14bff and to have it re-tubed was gonna cost $150. I just took a longer shaft in and had it shortened to my desired length, with one new joint and balancing it cost me $65.

thats cool,i'm not feelin to bad about $105.00 now. when i get my 14ff i'll change alot of stuff. but for now this is cool.the 12 bolt will have to do.

I paid $275 IIRC for my rear shaft. 4" tubing, new yokes at top and bottom, 1350 slip yoke, 1350 Neapco u-joints.

I threw the stock toothpick in the garbage.
