heavy4x4 beat me to it, but mine goes something like this:

14FF included w/ truck but probably about $100 for another
disc brake brackets - $100
rotors - $26 x 2
calipers - $11 x 2
wheel studs - $1.50 x 16
wire wheel cups - $25
satin black krylon & primer- $15
gear oil - $10
aluminum diff cover - gift $0
earls steel braided brake lines for the rear axle - $75?
!@#$ing expensive raybestos brake pads- $80 or so

knowing that your axle is going to be the last thing to break on your truck in the event of total failure and/or nuclear meltdown - priceless

10.5" full floater == /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif

dunno my truck came with it and every truck i have bought had them.. even have one under my pickup trailer!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

The first 14b I had, I traded an old 2 wheel drive stepside that I got for free...so basically it was free. Just a 3.73 drum braked 14b. Had to buy u-bolts though and rework the brakes...so maybe $100 into that one. The one I have now was given to me by SheWheeler...It was a basket case with rust and stuff. So I rebuilt and cleaned it up. Every bearing in it is new. $150 for all the bearings? I can't really remember. Seals and stuff. It's disc braked, so $50 for rotors, $50 for loaded calipers, traded some stuff for a set of brackets from Chaz. Had to buy 16 new wheel studs at about $2ea= $32. I welded it up, and made the cover myself. So as it sits now, about $285 into it. I still need to regear it it to match the front, so add that cost to the total. Here are some pictures of it on the table before installation-

I bought mine for $400 from Krazie87K5. It has a detroit, discs, it's shaved, shockmounts moved to the top of the axle, essentially ready to rock. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
