How much for 8 glow plugs(6.2L)??

Im gettin my 6.2 pretty soon but the guy said i'll need 8 glow plugs

How much they usually go for and whats the best place to get them?

My dad goes out to the pick-n-pull and gets the glow plugs out of some mid 80's diesel car ( I think it's like an Oldsmobile). Take along an ohm meter and check them for continuity between the tang and the head (where you wrench on it). They are direct bolt in and only cost $1 or so.

Either way, get the new plugs. You dont want to deal with old used plugs that could mushroom and arent self regulating.

I paid 7.99 each for AC G60 glow plugs for my 6.2 at autozone when I first got it in Dec 03--havent priced any lately..it did feel weird to spend 68 bucks and walk out with one tiny box,smaller than a set of sparkplugs!.

.I'm not sure if I'd get AC's again,after hearing some of the others who used them not being too happy with them--my truck starts ok so far,and I do use the glow plugs a lot(many not so long trips in the cold weather)--so I hope they hold up for a while--I dont like the fact they are already so rusty they look 10 years old already on the outside,but that's probably the road salt they use here more than the glowplugs fault...
