I hear ya! Trouble with my situation is that if i were to do all the work it would take me 5 years to get it done... I doubt thats much of an exaggeration either. I probably get a full truck weekend once or maybe twice a year tops. That being the case, this is a time where i just have to bite the bullet, give in, and let things be what they are. Its just tough to do is all.
Well, It's dropped off. If I felt any emotion it was anger as they marked me up $100 extra bucks cause they missed dents in the barn doors in the estimate. I told them I was unhappy about it and that's when they cut it down to only $100 extra instead of the $200 extra they were trying to feed me. When we were done I just told them to be more careful when they write estimates so they don't leave a bad taste in the mouths of folks like me. They said 9 days so we'll see how it goes.
On a side note, the drive down there was. Refreshing, I guess... No windows. Just safety glasses. My hair is still all whacked out. Also, I asked them if I could stop by and check it out during and they said I could. They were also just taking in a 66 chevelle that I'm curious to see how turns out.
I used to drive my '60 model CJ-5 a lot with the top off and the windshield down.
Fun in the fall and spring, hot in the summer, and a real pain when the tears started freezing to my face in the winter.
Those days, my father would call it the "fresh air taxicab".
I stopped by to have a look at it stripped down and some dude was going at it with a 2lb. sledge. I thought they would just knock the dents out with a body hammer and dolly, or one of those pin weld dent pullers.
Never seen that before.
It will be fine. start to paint the house or something and 9 days will be done before you know it.
Nah im not that emotional wreck that i thought i would be. I just feel bored. That will all change as i clean up the garage that turned into a disaster area and work on getting the 77 down the road... Every time i look at the 77 its like i pre-regret getting rid of it. Its just such a cool truck!!! The blazer was pretty easy to let go. The 77 on the other hand, not so much... Maybe i should just take to giving a few HJ's and BJ's on the streets so i can keep it. Hell just a couple ZJ's and i'll have all the money i need!
