Should be getting an order in today in the mail from classic parts for the front window felts etc.

Windshield and gasket will be here tomorrow morning!

it will be a happy day when I can say that...it'll likely be the last external thing that goes on...

Once I get it running and painted all the outside done, the uphostery and all that stuff will be done on a more spread out timeline...

what brand, who did it and what do you think?

The windshield itself im not sure. I bought it from a company called MS Glass. The gasket is a precision brand which fit nicely. I installed it myself with the help of my buddy Scott. A person could do it them self, but its super handy for tat last bit to ave someone there to push in on the glass while you work the gasket around.

best I recall the windshield for mine is about $150 installed and that includes the seal...SafeLite Glass I think...I am not going to attempt it myself...I'll let them do it for that price...

Best price i could find was 125 for the windshield and gasket by itself and 175 for the windshield, gasket and install. I figured i already had the lock strip tool so fk it. Save myself the $50. By the way i looked at the sticker and it says its a Mygrant Glass Company windshield.

The more I keep looking at your pictures the more that color is really growing on me. Man, that paint looks nice for a Maaco job.

I remember when I was in high school in the early 90’s my dad owned a shop where we had several commercial account customers. One of our customers was GE Fleet Services (leased vehicles to Sante Fe Railroad). I remember they used to bring in a pair of ’89-’91 Suburbans into our shop for maintenance. One was tan and the other was the same color as yours. Both were plain Jane Subs with TBI 350s, SM465 transmissions, rubber floor mats, vinyl bench seats, non-tinted glass but had quad headlights with chrome grills. I always drooled over them! It was odd they were not painted the typical Sante Fe Railroad white with decals. These subs where plain with no logos. I would love to have either one of those Burbs today in the condition they were in back when they were still new.

Anyway, I am digging your paint. Can't wait to see it all put together with some good outdoor shots! Com'on, hurry up!
