How will my K5/truck look with xx" tires on xx" of lift?

Orange85, that's an awesome paint scheme, is it intended to resemble the Mako Shark Corvette? I was thinking about that with one of my trucks and the guy that was going to paint it for me didn't have a clue what I was talking about :-(

Not sure, I picked this blazer up 3 weeks ago bone stock and swapped all my junk into it lol. I love the paint scheme. But unfortunately I don't think ill get it matched around here if I decide to fix the rust.

will 33x12.5R15 tires fit on 15x10 rims? And would those tires fit good on what i think is a stock height 85 jimmy?

the tires might not have any "blub" to them, so the side walls might be pretty flat, which means they could de-bead easier, but yes, it can work on a stock height truck

15x10's work well with a 12.50 tire, ran 35x12.50's on a 15x10 rim for a couple years and it looked good and never had issues

to make it look nice/oem it takes a little more work, but after u cut the fender, just bend,hammer/tac weld the inner fender into place, then use cardboard to cut out pieces u may need to fill it in with. then all u do is trace the cardboard shapes onto some sheet metal.

Would it be easier or better in the long run to do a custom inner? It would be made larger so eventually once i have the flex the tire could be stuffed in there...

i would only see ur tire hitting ur inner fender if u had longer springs to get a ton of flex out of ur truck and large(44")tires,but even if it did hit it,where it would hit is right at ur firewall, the bolt that is at about the 10 o'clock mark is threaded into a bracket off the firewall. to solve that problem, people move their axle forward which can be done several different ways.but to some it up,no.just modify ur stock inner one to fit how much u trimmed

I can see that. What has happened is one of the rear fenders had already been "worked on" to trim it back 3" all around. but when you pull the outer off the inner is left and does not reach. so i see what you mean by hammering and patching in. i guess the trick now is to get it where mud wont get in there and to get the other side to match so it wont look stupid.

38x14.50-16.5 TSL-SX's on 9.75 wheels with 3" BS 4" suspension 3" Bodylift No trimming and they rub when turning
