How will my K5/truck look with xx" tires on xx" of lift?

Thanks for posting the pics of the new General Grabbers. I've been wanting to see them actually mounted on a real Blazer or Chevy truck or something. Let us know about how good or bad the ride, handling and traction is with them in various terrains, please. They look pretty cool, thas fo sho.:pimp::thumb:

the CLOSEST the tire gets to the fender is about 1-1/8" inch from the UNCUT fender. Ive went up and down curbs and over steep speedbumps at angles and could not get any direct contact. Give me a break on my testing :haha: I've only had them 2 days and I don't work offroad so no speed testing yet :waytogo: The ride is quiet :woot: no wander. They DO get alot of attention, 4x4 guys are constantly staring and Ive receiver a few :waytogo:

I turned the tire to find the closest point of contact to fender in these shots  plus one from below :dunno:
First is passenger rear of tire, 2nd drivers front

Just curious if anyone is running 9" of lift with 35"s.

I have a 3" BL with 35's right now and I was thinking of throwing the 6" suspension on, however it would be a year or two before I could make the swap to 1 tons and 40's. What do y'all think about 9" (3" BL and 6" susp.) with 35's? would it look goofy?

heres 8" lift and 35's before alot of upgrades:

It's about time to start one.

Rules

1. Post pics on level ground, suspension at ride height

2. If you have a flex shot showing clearences, post if you feel inclined.

3. Any lift is ok, just post what it it (shackle flip, blocks, springs, zero rate, longer shackle...)

4. Post tire/wheel info aswell (wheel width/backspacing if you have it)

5. Members please link your pics from the photo gallery so all can see:D
great thread, thank you

35x12.50s on 15x12 wheels. Not sure of the backspacing...

This is with no lift. Tires only rub slightly if the wheels are turned just right at full flex. Front fender corners are trimmed.

I have a 4" lift that will go on as soon as my buddy finishes up the bodywork and paint.

Yours is almost a twin to mine. '77?

Yep! Mine is a 77 Cheyenne with Red interior. SM465 & 205 combo, D44 & 12b. Mine never came with the spare inside, it was on a swing out that attached to the rear passenger corner (around the tail light). Still have it laying around somewhere.

My dad bought it new in 77, put almost 80k miles on it, and parked it in the barn in 1990. It sat there until earlier this year when I decided to restore it.

That's pretty cool you know the entire history. The only big difference between yours and mine, I've got the auto and 33's.

I guess the dog was waiting for the 35s to arrive before he could get in the picture with JIMMY.:D
