I think they just come like that. They're called "street locks" or something like that. I call them simulated bead locks.

Haven't used it off-road yet...it scared me when I had to gas it a little to get out of an intersection...I was like "how did I just peel out? Oh yeah, almost forgot about the Powertrax, guess it works!" I also understand a lot of our lifted chevys pull to the right a tad and I notice the burb trying to straighten out (pulls left) when I accelerate moderately...then I let off the gas and it goes back to a slight veer to the right. I assume it is from the powertrax but I don't know I do like the way it feels so far.

How do you like yours? They say its supposed to lock up even if you have a wheel suspended in air unlike an LSD...have any real world experience with that?

Haven't had a chance to drive it since I'm still working the pinion angle and getting ready to have new driveline made up.

Here is my '71.

Stage 1: 6" All spring lift(Superlift) from a '70 Chevy 3/4 ton.
Tires are 38" Swamper radials (measure 37.5") on Aluminum mags (~3.5 backsapcing)
Axles are a 3/4 ton D44/Eaton H052
Trimming done: cut off front fender "fangs"

Same set-up, but different paint

Stage 2 (current): stock (worn out) 52" front springs, front axle moved forward ~2"-3", and (semi-worn) 56" springs flipped long side forward, with budget (front hanger from a '77 K5 rear suspension) used as a shackle flip
Tires are 38"(measure around 37.5") Swamper radials on aluminum mags (3.5 backspacing???)
Axles are D60/Eaton H052
Trimming done: cut off front fender "Fangs" and lower rear quaterpanel ~1-2" below body line.
Note: on rears suspension, I still need to move axle back a few inches via zero-rate and multi-position spring perches...should net me the 3" that I'm looking for.

The truck sits low enough to fit through a standard garage door with the Swampers on with `.5-1" to spare.

Thanks. Its taken awhile to get to where it is when I look back to what it was when I bought it.

As far as build thread here, I might wait till I get a little more technical with it, right now its basically all the general mods to it. once its driving and wheeling, I'll make one.

That's not to say I don't have one somewhere on the web...

89 suburban, 4" springs/blocks, 2" body lift, 37x12.50r16.5 goodyear hummer tires on 16.5x8.25" black steelies, 4" BS. just a little bit of rear sag.

i like the stance too but its empty right now. we'll see how it looks with all my camping/wheeling gear in the back. the engine is also out of it in that pic so its definitely a little nose high. ive always kinda liked the saggy butt look, maybe thats the desert racer in me.

I like saggy butts too, I think I'm gonna lower mine down a bit out back, it didn't go down much with people plus coolers. I can adjust it with the turn of a wrench so no biggie if it starts squatting
