Howdiymobile....

Going to add one more tube to the middle and finish up the front and dash and then try to run it before my summer is over [aug 18th]

Dash should look really good if everything turns out as planned

I'm actually pretty excited to see how the dash looks with the panels, I may put dimples in them, we'll see. The top could possibly use them, unless I can borrow a bead roller

Gauges are going to go in the middle, switches will be on the drivers side

I've got a fuel level gauge, 2 5/8" tach, oil pressure, water temp and amp gauge to go in there.

Thanks

Almost done for the time being, had to stop early today.

Just a few more welds to go. Tabs should be here probably monday and then I can start on the dash. Going to patch the floor also, probably tomorrow

Forgot to take pics of my corner gussets, but they turned out nice and saved a ton of time since I don't have to grind down the tube I cut off.

Florida has slowly been turning into a swamp over the past few months :haha:

Humidity is usually somewhere near 100% here :dunno:, little cooler though

I hate sheetmetal, I really need to fix my smaller welder and run .025 wire in it for sheetmetal and exhaust

Looks great! I like that square gusset, but that seems like a lot of work coping over just a tube. Any reason for the square tube?

any build thread on this area by chance:thinking:

Took probably and hour to do both, not bad

You can see the reason why if you look where they are in this pic

Was easier to cover than to grind them smooth, not mention I still wanted to gusset it

I'm assuming that your talking about the chevelle, nope, its my uncles, I don't know if its touched the ground this year :dunno:

Found this awesome hood scoop today, also got the other fender cut and welded and the hood cut

Going to try to go to the offroad park a few hours away this weekend, need to make a list of stuff to get done

install shocks
paint cage
gauges
mount msd
shorten hood

I'm not sure why my hood is longer than my fenders, I haven't really seen that in the threads I've seen about narrowing the front

Ahh yeah that makes sense seeing the picture.

Yeah I have seen where guys either shorten the hood, or add a section of fender to bring it back out to stock length.
