answer these 5 questions for me

1)what are the first 5 characters that appear on your HUMMER vin plate ?

2)what is the Engine size / H/P ?

3) Transmision ?

4) name of the standard audio system?

5) Are you just in the Army Reserves?

I have an M998A2 High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle,HMMVW.It has a 6.5L V8 diesel 160hp automatic transmission and a torque-biasing differential. As for the license plate # I never really memorized it but i'll get it for you. It Had a Week radio in it when I got it, I put a cd player in it the next day. I'm not in the Army Reserves, I just have good connections. Is that enough bro Ha!Ha! Can i have forgiveness now?

Hey B some people actually do own hummers and find out they don't like them much. There was a guy in our local club a couple of years ago who had one and got mad when other rigs were outperforning him on the trail so he bought a 1973 Scout 2, now that is his daily driver and he has a Unimog for wheeling, and he's back in the club.

Funny, I don't recall the HMMWV's having a radio in them, unless you mean comm gear ;-)

Don't you just love when the wheels fall off hummers while driving down the road! I've never seen such a poorly designed and put together military vehicle. The overall concept is great though.
The main reason I have a K-5 now is beacuse I've used the hummer and the CUCV(K-5/10) in combat. My CUCV never let me down, but I've had so many Hummers break down it's pitiful.

Hey,

Just waiting for you to answer Buttman. I hope your not driving around looking for a Hummer so you can get the vin #. Remember, they can be traced.

If you really have one, good for you. Sell it and get another K5.

Just make sure to always tell the truth.

RE: Hummers letting you down...

ya but can you beat the looks! Especially the ones with that armor in the back! I love my K5, but I'd take a hummer for a daily driver for the sheer intimidation aspect of it!

Kinda funny but there's a real-estate agent down here with one. Bright red and chrome wheels. Has Re-Max stickers and graphics all over it. You can't miss this thing!

On that note Steve88, the Marine Corps has a few they customized as recruiting tools. Beautiful red paint, PAINTED murals and graphics, custom alloy wheels, and MONSTROUS stereo systems. Funny part is, they forgot to paint all of the inside. If you look close inside, you can still see the green CARC paint and mil-spec ID plates, etc. The recruiters say they attract kids almost as much as an aircraft static display.

So many ideas, so little money...

The local rock radio station WEBN has a black Hummer as their station car. I think they have and 8000 watt stereo system in it! You see it every now and then if your driving around Cincy.

Only trade your k5 on the hummer with the optional m60. I heard its great in rush hour.

Nah, if you really want firepower, get the Avenger model. It has Air-to-Air Stingers and .50 cal machine guns!

hmm stock radio. well let me run down to the motorpool. hmm yep its a Singars (single ground air radio system) I don't think they sell those hehe. Hmmm last time I checked the goverment aution site and "hummers" sold are sold as scrap. They literally have to be crushed before they leave the yard. This is because (along with the MUTT the hummers predicessor) the military versions do not comply with government regulations on vehicle safety. ie no airbags etc etc. or epa regulations. The engines were 6.2 liters in the early ones then 6.5 liter both deisels. the tranny is similar to a th350 or 400. anyway its a 3 speed auto. I don't think there are vin numbers but there are serial numbers. well anyway thats all i know without going down to the motorpool.
