humvee wheels!

The edges of the H1 wheels are kind of easy to bend when you hit a rock or such. There are many vendors making "rock rings" for them, which are weld-on stiffeners.

if you want to get recentered h1's with rock rings and you get the powder coat...I just did that and I wished I'd just bought purpose built beadlocks like walker wheels...if you just get stock h1's and spacer thats a different story

ok so im lost, i plan on runing the crager wheel with 4.75 back spacing with the 37" MT tire. would i need spacers or not?

Maybe. Hard to say. You could probably just adjust the steering stops to prevent the tires from rubbing the drag link.

Did you not notice the bold part in my post? I know what a rock ring is, and what it does. I was questioning the other suggestion, hence highlighting it in the post I quoted.

No dog in this fight, but if he's reading it on Tapatalk (like I am), there's no bolded part in the quoted part of your response. ;)

Carry on!

the inner lip is just as easy to bend as the outer lip. But you cant put a rockring on the inner side. the 3/b bar ring aroud the lip stregnthens it just enough to be fine

i have hummer wheels on mt 87' i purchased new center sections from usa 6x6 (out of buisness) im running 40'' TSL's. i had to cut out the stock center and weld in the new.it wasnt too difficult, and the axle has held up fine.and it is 5.5 inches of back spacing. i believe you can acuire new center sections from ststzworks.com.
