i got my pedals in and they are hydro. i have not bled the system yet, but when i push down the pedal, it does not return all the way up, it does about 90%. when i bleed the system will the pedal be pushed all the way up or did i hook the spring up wrong? i really dont want to drop everything to put in a new spring or whatever. thanks ck5

i dont have a spring that i know of in my setup. i installed all of mine. my pedel comes up 100%.

and do a advanced search with my screen name and the word hydro. you will find a good thread on bleading the clutch from hell.

Yes , there is a spring on a hydro pedal set up.
It is on the located on the clutch pedal pivot bolt ,left hand side between the pedal & the hanger.
It's not very big ,but it's there none the less.
The pedal will return when you get the system bleed correctly.

What attaches to the round shoulder that the clip is running through? If I read this correctly there is no big spring for pedal return because line pressure returns the pedal.

Yeah, I noticed that too when I did my hydro conversation, where it wouldn’t fully return until it was filled with fluid and bleed. Don’t sweat it, hook it up and enjoy a nice smooth easy clutch to press.

Here is a cool picture of the ’85-’87 (’91 R/V) hydro system. Too neat not to share.
