I bought a Corvette.

and if I weren't confrontational enough. The C2 guys don't want you to hear this - but the frame of a C3 interchanges with all but the '63 Corvette. Not only that, but the C2 guys look for C3 parts because those parts are more robust. To recap, C2, is a nice, frilly numbers-matching girl in an evening gown who really will never get her nails dirty, is always correcting your grammar, and is forever going on about how nasty your friends are. The C3 is that librarian who lets her hair down and wears jeans and your shirt on weekends - the one who's always up for a quick spin around the track or a beer with you your buddies.

o_0o_0I like the way youngsters refer to midyears as C2's

Also, I may have a set of alternator and power steering brackets.... not 100% sure I'm willing to part with them (mostly because I'm not 100% sure where I stored them - and if you're reading my other thread, this is a common refrain for me; I'm sure they're right next to the lift-brake-hoses)....

Yeah, I need the power steering and alternator brackets, and possibly the power steering pump (least ways the reservoir).

power steering is pretty easy because it's basically the same as any car.... alternator.... hmm, this is what you're looking for.

I took the power steering off this car - or I should say, I never put it back on when I reassembled it.... I'll see what I can find.

Dang, I forgot all about this 'vette...

I'd post pics, but Photobucket no longer works on my cell phone, and my computer got fried in a power outage.

I'll try loading pics on here. A new experiment if you will.

Here is the 327/TH350 bolted in. I wanted to make sure it would run and drive before I put much more effort into this setup I know nothing about. Ignore the silly velocity stack, it was just an air cleaner to keep dirt out of the carburetor, and not get in the way while fiddling on it.

....and then because I am a jack ass, I did a small power stand. The brakes didn't want to hold, I'll have to hook up the vacuum booster and see if power brakes help.

always good to hear life in an engine again!

I cant get photo bucket to work for me anymore either. I post all my pictures from here with my phone.

Cool to see you getting it running again!
