I can't stand how much I want this truck!!!

I just found what looks like a VERY fun to drive truck (just wish it was a 4x4 and in my price range!):

Dmax stick shift 2wd regular cab- I bet this thing scoots!!!! :waytogo:
How sick would it be with a 4wd conversion and SAS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Found a an absolute beauty in my price range (granted an auto but, the crew cab shortbed dually-ness of it more than makes up for the slush box!!!):

On the Duramax, they list it as having 300hp and 520lb-ft, that would be the output of the LLY, right? But, 2006 should have an LBZ, shouldn't it? (360hp, 650lb-ft) Or was the LLY to LBZ switch a midyear switch in 2006? OR did GM detune the engines of their manual trans trucks like Dodge does? If I go and look at the truck, will I be able to see whether it is an LLY or LBZ on the emissions sticker under the hood or where would I need to look? I am seriously considering making the drive up to Moorsville and checking it out! I really want a 4x4 (and this is a lot outside my price range) BUT, a clean, low priced (it's priced $4k under KBB), low mileage, stick shift regular cab Duramax is dang hard to pass up!!! The only thing I find sketchy is Carfax lists the truck as having had "accessories" put on it yet, I see none, leading me to wonder if maybe the PO modified the heck outta the truck and then stripped all the mods off (I do see that the truck has a rather ugly side exit exhaust on it- I've already priced a new full length Banks exhaust). Or am I just being paranoid?

LLY was 04.5 thru early 06

De tuned for the manual cause my 05 LLY says 360/650 on the specs.

The accessories they mentioned could be tuner or intake, plus the exhaust you saw

You could get that body style in 2000. Not sure what the criteria was. Buddy had a 2k 3500 RCLB...kinda cool truck tho....

Yep, and even later on the 3500HD's.

I had a 2000 CCLB that was an '88-'98 body style.

What do y'all think of this truck

My vortec 454 was an underpowered gas hog mounted in a truck with an incredibly crappy front end. :D
The 454 was fine on the flats but HATED life on hills while towing.
That and she was a THIRSTY, THIRSTY beast.
