I failed smog. Heated O2 wiring questions now.

I found some 8 lug stock rollers from a 78 3/4 ton for $100.00.

Dont know if Im going to get them yet though. Going to try and borrow some. I would like some stock rims though. That way i could put some low pro tires on and maybe fit in the garage.

Hey if u pick up the axles I take them off your hands when u r done. I'm looking for some 3/4 tons now for my burb.

He said rollers as in wheels and tires.
What ratio are you looking for on the 3/4 ton axles?

Wow what was I reading ? Lol. I need to back away from the sugar atunch. I'll check out your link when I have better signal .

Got some rollers. Still wont fit in the garage though. Looks silly.

That sucks, he could easily have got it to shift to second then drop it down! On the evap the main "leak" area is the fuel pump gasket. The OEM rubber o-ring is actually thicker than all the aftermarket o-rings. In order for them to seal for smog in cali, use thick grease on the o-ring when you install it, or you can use silicon but its a pita to get off.

I installed a new pump and sending unit last yr. the O ring is thick! That's why it won't seal. Its the thickest O ring I have ever seen. When I took it off yesterday one of the three locking tongs was not seated. I took the O ring to a few auto parts stores trying to compare it with ones they had. No one had any. I will try the grease. Thanks for the tip.

Now I need to reinstall the tank and take off the TBI spacer. I have to be at a huge save the trails rally this weekend!

Little rock is by Palmdale right? Did you check out the link to the axles? Should I grab them for you?

Iceman, are you saying you have axles for $400? If so, I could store them for Rollin or something. :dunno:

Not that I love going to the dealer for anything, but the o-rings the dealer carriers are the correct fit:waytogo: Good luck with the smog shistuff!

I guess the high school kid with rich parents who lives by me is in the same smog boat as I am in.

Too bad he doesn't have six lug wheels! And my gosh, 4 remote resi fox shocks just on the rear? Too much money I guess so. It's like a cross between awesome and the 80s.

Called the local GM dealer about the O ring that seals the sending unit.
$13.00!!! For a O Ring!! Damm:eek1:
