I got 4 42" TSLs w/wheels for $100. PICS!!!! started grooving the tires

8 on 6.5 is the common 8 lug pattern for GM, Dodge and Ford (up till a certain year, mid 90s I think).

They aren't. That good at all, but, for $100.00, couldn't pass these up. They might only last one or two outings, but what the hell. I will put them on soon, too hot here now. I have been wanting this size, now I can find out if I have enough gear(5.13). I will also know how much to cut with these. At least now I have a spare set of rims to weld on beadlocks! Here are some pics. One tire is bald, the others not too bad.

First cut you can get an easy 1/4" plus. With a groover you could cut those and run em for a year or more yet from what I see in the pics.

that was a crazy good deal!!!

get the tire grover with a #8 head and go to town on them suckers.

had a set like that few years ago. groved them up and thay looked like 1/2 tread. paid 200 on rims. swaped to other rims kept the aluminums and with groving thay made a huge diffrence.

oh ya sold for 400 and few years later sold aluminum rims for 250. made out good.

http://www.bryke.com/902-100/Tire+Groover+Head.html let the heat of the unit do the work. thay gut good.

Thanks! I am only concerned with one tire. It is messed up pretty bad. Here is the tire. I'm sure I could grove it to last for the snow season. Know of a decent grover to get? Thanks.

Groove 'em and run 'em...

On the really bad one just follow the original grooves then do the extra grooves if your adding more edges...

Keep your eye out for someone selling a spare, it may be better than the bad one and the bad one could be used as the spare...

I added a lot of life to my 36s when a buddy grooved them...

And really put some life into my 38.5s when I grooved them...

I am on CL all day! In all cities close to us, looking for good deals. When I saw this, I called him. It had been posted for 7min. I drove to Taft right then! He said, if your driving from Bako, I will let it go for $100. I told him to delete the posting, and I will be there in 45min.

Tom, want to help me grove some tires?!!!

Its easy, just groove down until you hear air hissing, then back off some.......
