Thanks for the info on the cruise control, didn't think that would work as the throttle spring was very stiff
. Basically it was a swap from Ford EDIS coils to a pair of Dodge Neon coils. Yeah, I know, but the box only says "Delphi" on it, so it's all good. These coils fulfill the criteria of having similar resistance and inductance as the Ford ones and they have towers that accept regular plug wires. I soldered wires into the connector terminals and put pigtail EDIS connectors on them so I didn't have to modify any of the wiring already in the truck. There are various ways to do this and I did look around for some Neon connectors, but decided this gave me a super simple backtrack if any issues came up with these coils. Looks like that was 1.5 years ago.
