I have a K5!

32/11.5s sitting left crank to crank I think as close as you could get without rubbing, although my rims are spaced out some.

I don't plan on doing much to it other than fixing what needs to be fixed and keeping it stockish.
Kenny was saying it might have deeper gears in it. If so I might throw 32-33's on it and call it good. If not then I'll stick with 31's.
Manual hubs, decent stereo, normal bumper (gotta trade brewing on the winch), decent exhaust, and that's about it. DD/puppy wagon. Now all I have to do is head out of Michigan permanently.

if that trade doesn't work out I have 3 sets of stock bumpers in near perfect condition. Just get em out of my garage!!!

My buddy wants the winch...I just need to get rid of the bumper.

Where's Belleville again?

32's you say...

PM replied,

I also have 3 33" BFG mud radials  But I think those plus a new one are going on my powerstroke when I get it next week.

Be forewarned though bud. Ive got 3.43s and thats all the more my 350 wants to handle. In a head strong headwind or up a good grade it kicks out of lockup.

6.2 might have enough grunt though.
My 350 prolly isnt 100% either 170,000 miles untouched.:D

Reading it right now.
nice looking blazer..now its time to change your sig. lol
Yeah, just realized that. The XL7 left today, the Tracker leaves tomorrow, and I just bought a K5. Yep, times they is a-changin'. Sigs is a-changin' too.

Yeah, have to see. This thing might have 3.08's or 3.73's. Who knows. Kenny was just saying it had lots of grunt and he was surprised. Might just be a well tuned engine or it might be 3.73's and a good running engine. Dunno.
If it's got 3.08's then I'm sticking with 31's.

This thing may or may not have 84k or 184k. Not really sure...the interior is thrashed which aims at 184k but I've seen folks thrash an interior in 30k...and the Washington DMV has never reported a mileage on this thing according to CarFax. Weird.

After driving it in the rain at freeway speeds, I'd lean towards 184K. Shocks are definitly worn out and the front springs may be too. It cruises 60-65 mph smoothly compared to driving my '83 K20 though.

That MIGHT happen. Dunno. Have to see what the budget says.
And I quote:
Painfully Stock Awaiting Cash Flow

Hrmmm...got any friendly NAPA's Kenny? Maybe I sit in the parking lot for a few hours and change the shocks out first.

Dual front shocks or standard singles on each side?

Careful plannning on something for just a couple hours. Might want to make sure you have torches, etc... shock could be a pain in the ass to get off in a parking lot if they are old.

Did you plan one day to change the oil, shocks, check over brakes, etc.

Kenny's being my bestest buddy and making sure it's safe to drive before I go. Oil change, brake check, etc.

Yeah, I know the trouble that can be...

...that said they've never had road salt. You'd be surprised how easy things come apart, even on high mileage vehicles, when there's no road salt rust to contend with.
Helped my buddy work on his Washington only '65 F100 when I was in San Diego and it was pathetic how much easier stuff came apart on that truck then my '92 K1500 that I considered to be in good shape.

I know what you mean... working my GA Blazer is great compared to my Michigan born and lived Suburban.

Yep, I'm always surprised when stuff comes right apart on Big Ugly. Even stuff coated in grime and oil. I just sorta expect cursing and rust issues.

Ya, no comparison working on something from out here compared to the rusted together rigs in the midwest... I have air tools at home so if anything needs to be changed, you can bring it up here to take care of it real quick. Shocks can be changed out very quickly. Too bad you just missed the shocks for sale on Summit for $6 ea. All the stock height shocks went quick. I grabbed some of the 4" shocks while I could though.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda ya know?

Any idea if it has quads or regular single per side? The one pic of the front looks like singles to me but what the hell do I know.
