3 bolts through each of the body stiffening "rails" that go perpendicular to the frame by the body mounts. 6 bolts per side and 12 total. Each bar has two flanges that go up between the two rails and then there's a plate for each rail that goes on the opposite side from the flange.

Hardest part is drilling the holes because you're always short on room and space. I think my flanges also got tweaked a bit by UPS and my Rhino Lining guy. We had some fun but we got them on.

Definitely far superior to nerf bars. You can jump up and down on these and all that happens is the truck rocks.

Very well can see some variation on the sheetmetal supports under the rig. We've put the brackets on at just a hair of angle to accomodate some of this and allow the bolts to pull them up tight. Damned hard to get precise with 20+ year old GM's. Tolerance is a constant discussion at the shop.

Looks good AJM!!

Thanks.

Now it needs some painting to match the rest of the new and newish parts it has.

ugghhhh...

Up at a slight angle...I want to say 10 degrees. Glad I didn't have him do them flat as now it hugs the rockers and does not look like most nerf bars. Still make a great step and they've already annoyed a few careless door users in parking lots.

Well...honestly I at first figured some $100 Smittybilt nerf bars like I remember from when I had my last K5...but yeah...uhm...they don't exist anymore. LMC is the only place that has them new now and they want as much as these cost me.

"Hmmmmm...expensive as **** nerf bars or Kert's sliders for the same money..."

Gutted the interior, removed the stock stereo, picked up a nice Dual head unit CD player/HD Stereo/USB/MP3/Bluetooth/can opener/flame thrower/etc dohickey, a Meta DIN sized radio adapter with a pocket, got some 6.5's for the back and made new interior side panels. Oh, and it's at the Rhino Lining place right now. Should have pics in a few days.
