I have a K5!

Okay, I've hit my limits...talking about Frenchies that aren't the Foreign Legion. Nuh-uh. Stops here.

Well, the biggest improvement to The Blazer's life right now is me spending all weekend driving around northern Kentucky and up to the middle of Indiana to gather funds and then go and purchase The Tracker. I likes it.:D

Rego and plate it tomorrow and The Blazer retires to a life of leisure and fun.

Geez...I remember when my garage had that much space.

Now I can't get a single vehicle in there cause it's so packed full of parts and crap.:doah:

He recently moved.....so he hasn't caught up with the rest of us yet.

I'm slowly talking myself into gathering parts for a manual swap. Slowly. Still need to finish setting up the garage anyway. I have lights sitting on the floor and most of the materials to make a 3rd bench in against the far wall. Meanwhile there's something wrong with my air compressor.
It's been over 100 for most of July and the first two weeks of August so I didn't get **** done on my vehicles or in the garage. I sweat enough at work.

Minor update - installed the ORD steering box brace I got used. ORD definitely did not trial fit these on a diesel with tranny cooler lines running in the way. The upper bolt for the brace and steering box is only in as tight as I could make it with a wrench as there's not enough room to get a socket on it since the lines are directly behind it.

Leaking out of my lift pump and the IP. YEAH!

Contemplating just saving, and saving, and saving some more until I can afford to start all over with the powertrain in this thing. Just a wet, leaky, nasty mess half made up of stuff I don't want.

It's still a sweet truck!:thumb: I'd have to keep driving it and upgrade whatever breaks untill it's all replaced. Probably notthe most efficient way to go, but I don't have the will power to save like that. I would buy the part and stash it till needed...if the price was right at the time.

GOOD LUCK with it:D

Actually driving it today and tomorrow as The Tracker is in the dealership for a warranty repair. The lift pump on the front of the block is leaking bad. Gotta fix that and I bet things will improve. Just time and money.

After dicking with the bolt on steering brace and the damn tranny cooler lines being in the way and leaking, it not shifting perfect, and me not liking auto trans in general I want to get rid of it. Again, time money and definitely more skill than I have now. Might try to save up and find a donor truck.

Sounds alot like my life. Drive the Blazer because the ball joints are bad on the Ford, not to mention the steering gear pissing all the fluid out in about 6 miles. Steering is getting kinda loose in the Blazer, but that's OK because the local shop is letting me make payments on the 1200 bucks in repairs on the Ford. BUT...gotta get tires on the Ford before the snow flies. SO...gotta pay off the repairs to be able to put the 900 bucks in tires on account...it's my never ending story.

I will probably sell the Ford to get out from under the loan, then start looking for another Blazer (gasp). I'm thinking 3" lift with 33's. Going with 9.5's for the winter, and 12's for the summer. I already have a BTO 700r4 in my barn, a couple 241's, driveshafts, etc. I'll just have to suffer through the milage woes.

Sorry for the rant and hijack!!!

No problemo man. I hear ya.

I decided a while back I won't have a car payment until I can buy something new or damn near new. Although I am a fan of extended warranties.

We only finance vehicles for my wife. My junk is cash only so I'm not screwed when it burns to the ground.

I figure in 5 years or so when the foreclosure is off my record and my credit is good I'll buy a diesel small pickup...Mahindra or maybe someone else will be making one here by then. Until then, I'll drive my junk.

My injector pump leaks out around the throttle shaft. The Lift pump laked too so I replaced it. Not too pricey. Bitch to get to though. I do not like replacing that thing.

Thought about buying a rebuild kit for the IP I found for 45 bucks and picking up an IP from the junk yard and rebuildin then swappping. Haven't gotten there yet. Not sure what the IP will go for at the yard. IPs are no fun to replace on these either. Lots of disassembly involved.
