I have a K5!

Seems like the majority of the leaking is from the lift pump. The valley is wet from the IP but not dripping down the back or anything yet. I may just buy a whole new IP as supposedly this one was rebuilt or replaced a few years ago. Guess not well.

Always had problems with the IPs on the HMMWVs leaking. The seals would dry out and when it got cold they would contract and leak all over. Leaking stopped once the engine warmed up. The entire valley would fill up with fuel.

Might piss off the wife and see if Shawn can find me one of his $500 6.0L small blocks and throw it in the Sub. I miss having power.

Hahaha...the LS engines are tempting...so is a P400 6.5L...

I really liked my wife's 6.0. I would love to get a new 6.2 small block and keep all of my 6.2 badgeing. Just cross out the diesel part.

I have read a few articles on the P400. A very nice engine. I think I want the lighter weight of the gasser and quck reving HP.

:D
The future will be louder and better breathing.
:D

Yeah, I'm pleased. Going to need a bit of work with the tailpipe and the hangars but I have time.

Finally read through everything. Looks awesome. Glad I have a blazer to look to for ideas and inspiration... Did you end up leaving the floors bare with all the rhino lining or put anything over it like you mentioned before?

Layer of Kentucky dust count?

They're bare. Can't see putting carpet over it and the vinyl seemed pointless.

I may at some point have another layer of Rhino Liner put on it. It's only about 1/8" thick now and doesn't quite give the sound and heat dampening I'd like.

Lemme know, would be nice to have someone to play Blazers with around here who isn't JEEPJEEPJEEPJEEPJEEPJEEPJEEP!

Yea, I'd like to come check yours out. I'd hate for someone to critique mine though, its a little rustier than I thought... haha

Eh, it happens. Not to mention a rust free one is just several grand and a road trip out west away.

That's true. I like to think that I saved money by buying a decent running truck that I can just fix up myself, and hope that it ends up being about the same money with lots of experince earned. The experience part of it was almost worth getting it since this is my first one. And, what fun is having something that's brand new?? haha

I'd just like to state for the record that I live in Kentucky. Not a Kentuckian as I wasn't born here. I'm a refugee...from the cold and the Democrats.
