Ok, first of all, I put out a want ad looking for a body lift. Well a fellow CK5er answers and I send the money to him. That was a month and a half ago.........still no body lift You know who you are. Send me the body lift or my money back and all will be good.

OH MAN!!!!! Here we go again- I'm starting to think that the only people a guy should trust is a fellow PAYING member.........He wasn't one of those I hope!!!!!!!!!

Have you done everything you can to contact him? Call, email, PM, everything? The reason I say this is because I recently had this problem but hadn't put my full resources into getting in touch with the member. Now that it's resolved, I'm really sorry I posted his name on the forum and have since erased it. Only trust a paying member huh? Not a bad call, but there's quite a few folks out here that are good people but can't pony up $25 quite yet.

Well, before you go futher please try a few things to make sure. First off if you have a phone number please call them and leave a mesage or talk to them. Send this person an email, if possible with a return receipt so you know they read it asking them about the parts in question. Make sure to add in your name, address and phone number and other info that they might need. Next on Monday go to the post office and send them a letter. Send it certified so he has to sign for it (proof of delivery). Make you state that you need to hear back from him asap and get the part/refund by September 30th. If he can't get you the part by then he needs to contact you asap to tell you to see if you want to wait to an agreed on date or simple a refund. If they cannot come through and will not help and ignore you then post their name and user name for all see to avoid this person the day after they blew the time line to let you know what is going on.... that's the best I can suggest you do... good luck.

Also make sure the #$%&amp; postal service didn't lose it - I'm out a $95 textbook that they lost a couple of weeks ago.

Sorry, Lake!!!!! There's a whack of oldtimers like yourself that are obviously upstanding guys, and I guess I didn't really think about that when I made my post. I was only trying to say that newcomers can probably trust us orange guys a bit more. Sorry again!!!!!!! I love you, man!!!!!!

hey - there are many of us who have been there, and done that (gotten screwed - by ck5er's)... and it is amazing cuz everytime I get screwed (twice, second time a LOT worse then the first) I find somebody who has gotten it worse then me...

I have been here for a while and I hope that I am trusted around here, and the ONLY reason my name is not in orance yet is because I made a career change and had to adjust my entire life accordingly to the lesser pay. As soon as I get stuff back under control I will be an almighty member. I could give a rats ass less about being a "member" to be honest but I run my mouth on here quite a bit and figure I owe it to Steve to help keep this site on the net.

I get all the exercise I need pushing my luck!

UHHHHHHH......are you mad at me for what I said in my first post? Did you read my retraction in my second post? The only reason I joined was to help keep CK5 alive- I live in Canada and don't think I'll ever have the opportunity to take advantage of the member's discounts etc... And I NEVER said that those of you who have not decided to join up are any less important than those of us who have.........the reason why some people haven't is NONE of my business anyway!!!!

I wasnt mad, I was a bit ticked Ill say. I didnt read beyond there and I guess I should have. Sorry Canmore. I have a habit of running my gator before read the rest of the thread sometimes. I did go back up and read it when you posted to me. Like I said, some times my mouth runs off and leaves me behind. Sorry.

Just goes to show that you have to get all info you can about the other and any contact info and check it out too to make sure it's correct.

I've bought a couple of things through this group and not a seconds problem. The folks here are just like the rest of the world. You pay your money and take your chances. I hope everything works out but that dosen't mean we should stop trustin' each other if it dosen't. I've been around long enough to know that the good ones out number the bad.

Sorry for not keeping you guys up to date. The member in question replied to my e-mails and said he sent the lift on Friday. Hopefully I will receive it and this will be done.

Amen to that. Keep us informed when we send you money. I always know where I send my money, so I always know where to go to get it back...if you know what I mean.

I thought I was getting ripped off for a digital camera I bought several months ago (not from a CK5 member) and he would not reply to my email or my phone calls. I was about to book a flight when the thing showed up...about two weeks later than I expected it. Lucky Bastard.

Well I have been involved in over $7000.00 worth of transactions with members on this board in both buying and selling and have no complaints yet and don't want that to change. Alot of the transactions have been on axles which I don't make a dime off of but I enjoy helping others out.
