I might be getting screwed by ColoradoK5'er

Re: I might be getting screwed by ColoradoK5\'er

I definitely have to agree with the "keep us informed" thing. I have never lost money from people on here yet, but I have definitely been frustrated (and am frustrated by one member right now). With one guy, he made a deal to buy my tires and wheels from me. On this knowledge, I went and bought new tires and wheels for my rig knowing I had a buyer for mine. Well, we were working on meeting for the swap and he quite replying to my PMs. I emailed and even called and never heard from him for a couple of weeks. Turns out he bought another K5 and decided he didn't want my stuff anymore. Why was it so hard for him to contact me? It's not like I wouldn't eventually find out. Anyway, I still have the tires and rims. Really wish I would have known before I spent money on my new ones.

And, in a similar case (and with a friend of that first guy), I recently put dibs on a part on this site. I was second in line. The first guy backed out and the seller contacted me. We negotiated a price and he was looking into shipping. Well, that was about 2 weeks or so ago. I have sent him numerous PMs asking what's up and is he going to renig or something. I have read receipts so I know he has gotten the PMs, but still no word from him.

We all get busy, we all forget things, and sometimes things happen to us that cause us not to follow through with our committments. But c'mon guys, let's be mature adults about this. If you commit to one persona nd then sell to someone else because either you forgot or they offered you more money or whatever, fess up. Ignoring someone isn't cool. If you are embarrassed about it, maybe you shouldn't have done it in the first place! But you did, so live with your consequences. If you are busy and haven't been able to ship or look into shipping pricing or whatever, that's cool. We all understand that. But keep us informed. What's so hard about sending a PM? We all get busy and we all understand. But let's be adults here! Is that so hard?!?

i have been around here for a little while and have transacted with many members with no hassles. always got the money out or the merchandise, except this one time...

i was contacted by email for the 'jeep...dinner' stickers and got the check in the mail. well, i threw away the envelope and deposited the check! :p
on top of that i erased the email. duh.
i posted my dilemma on the main board, but no reply. about a month later, i finally got an email...wheres my sticker?!
