Ty, that motor stays in your frame rails.... Period. You have four pages of advise and suggestions here. "A verbal agreement is a legally binding agreement between two or more adults in the eyes of the court". You traded currency - tires and motor as an agreed value - based on the knowledge given to you by a trusted friend....how were you to know the situation was anything other then what you were told it was? THAT MOTOR STAYS IN YOUR FRAME RAILS!!

If and when your (former) friends' father comes to get what he thinks is his motor, tell him EXACTLY what transpired, be concise, be PROFESSIONAL. Don't studder, and don't use "like" and "you know" in every sentence. Most importantly, be CONFIDENT, and don't show a single sign of 'being a kid'....don't give him the impression that you lack maturity in any way. Good luck, man. You have a nice 350 there!

Well here we go again I sold this motor 3 weeks ago now one of his other friends want to build a jeep , and I called him today to see If he wanted to come over , and help me wrench, but the other kid answered he has 2 roomates , and he says so I want an orange 350 , and I know a kid that has one refering to me ,Well i said i dont have one tho. Anyways I told him good luck getting it , and he tells me that the deal was 800 dollars , and the tires I traded him . hahaha LMFAO you think a stock 350 that runs and is carb is worth a g with no paper work hahaha . anyways what a friend this kid is. they are both pieces of work . Last time this came up I told him to go pound sand , didnt talk for awhile , and now we are talking again go figure this would come up again .

Big mistake. You need to find some other "friends" and cut those ties. Just keep in mind that the whole thing isn't finished until Dad knows about exactly what happened, and has accepted that it is over. Otherwise you never know what is going on behind the scenes. I can think of several scenarios where Dad is duped into filing a police report, sueing you civilly, or resorts to other more extreme means. Get it resolved one way or another.....
