I need to see your insides.....

RJF, I'll snap a few pics of my interior tonight so you can see what I did. Stock Silverado.

I have the factory slate grey, but like I said before, I decided to go with a few black accents since LMC makes you paint to match, which I wasn't gonna do.

The rear side panels are tough to find, and pricey like factory dash's in good shape. It may almost be more feasible to make a pair, or have an upholstery shop do it.

I had to have my rear side panels made. I cut the board and had my interior guy sew them up and cover them.

Here's a few snaps of my interior; don't mind the bad seats, they're getting refoamed here in the next week or so.

Details please. Is this mint original stuff, NOS replacement parts, LMC aftermarket???? Specifically the brushed alum door trim.

I still haven't ordered the door and dash trim yet because I am waiting to see where this thread goes. Plus, I am still working on getting the Camaro seats.

This is the dash panel molding it was nos http://www.classicparts.com/1981-91-Dash-Panel-Molding-w_AC-w_Dlx-Dash/productinfo/32-060/

This is the door panel trim for the right that is nos. http://www.classicparts.com/1981-91-Door-Panel-Trim-Plate-Brushed-Aluminum-Right/productinfo/19-350/

The problem will be finding a left side. I had to hunt one down. The guy at cheyenne had a set when I found mine. You just have to call end see if he has one, they go to swap meets alot, so not everything they have is listed They were $150.00 for the set, still in the package. He was the only one that had the left side when I was looking.
They are not perfect, but you have to remember that this stuff is like 20yrs old still in packages and who knows where all its been. The old package left sticky stuff all over it(that I had to clean off very carefully not to mess it up) and the chorme has some flaws.
You will just have to see if you can hunt the left one down probably.

Looks like the fabric has just come unglued from the foam in that pic. That is what my driver seat was doing.

When you bought the door trim from LMC, was it the replacement kit, or the reproduction pieces? And what was so bad about those pieces?

Reproduction and they didn't look like the factory ones. Just looked real cheap to me.

I bet you can find a left side NOS if you look hard enough. I can look at the shop, to see if i have the tag off the one I got. If you have a part # it will probably make searching for one easier.

I bought my wife's Grandpa's '87 C10 Silverado a few years back to use for my interior swap, that way I had everything to work with. Perfect Black interior with power everything. Pretty much the whole reason to buy the truck as it was like brand new inside. I've also got my '90 Blazer that is my plow truck that I will use to donate any misc. pieces that the truck didn't use like the rear plastic on the headliner and the side panels by the seat belts.

my truck is all good uesd GM parts.
junkyard parts are the bench seat!! $35 hell yeah! and the gauge bezel. lots of shiny chrome ac vents, outer window scrapers, ac selector knobbys.
from a buddies truck i got the seatbelts and door panels as well as a nice scottsdale emblem for the dash insert thing.
from an old truck i parted i got the nice 205 boot, ring, and shifter. topped off with a NOS knob.
all i need now is a carpet kit and insulation. nice blue dash pad, and the little screw on knob for the clock. should be good to go after that.

I'll take a couple tomorrow. I've been lagging again, but I actually got the itch to get back on my build and finish it this winter. Threw the front clip back on one night after thanksgiving. As far as the interior pieces from the C10, they aren't in the Blazer yet as I'm going to spray the interior and door jams over Christmas break first. Then I'll start swapping everything over. As you can see up on the hill behind the K5, this C10 was nothing much to look at from the outside......But everything inside was mint. Actually sold the seat and carpet for not much less than I paid for the whole truck once I parked it and started gutting it.

RJF, I ordered EVERYTHING from LMC.

I replaced the arm rests, the map pockets, the faux aluminum trim pieces (actually plastic), and the assist handle chrome covers. I made a point not to purchase anything that required dieing or painting, as those finishes just don't seem to last.

I also replaced the carpet with dark grey from LMC.

Dash is factory, again, it's not too terrible, but I just wasn't satisfied w the aftermarket replacements. I'll replace this if I can find a mint OE.

Mats are loyd custom cut rubberteks front middle rear.

The trim on the dash is original, as are the carpet kickers and the velvet-feeling panels around the handles on the doors, headliner, gauge bezel, and the interior side panels.

Again, seats are coming apart pretty badly, but I'll be pulling them for a new foam job after the holidays. They're going to replace the tack cloth w vinyl so I won't have to deal with this again. I'm also adding seat warmers. This is my daily driver!

I am happy to take more detailed pics if you're liking the way mine looks. I've had the off road blazers and the built to the teeth jeeps. Since this car is my daily ride, I wanted it to be as close as factory as possible, and I wanted the interior like NEW. I'm nearly there save for my seats and my less than ideal visors. I also need to address the side panels at some point, but right now they're not buggin me. They look worst in the area behind the spare and where the speakers mount.

Bownut those mirrors are the factory ones I think they only came on 90s and 91s.

I want a set.

After searching for a while I forgot to bookmark it Bob but I have found a couple guys that have polished the billet aluminum pieces, One pic in here had them in.

So polishing them doesn't look to hard to do.

Hmmmm stock or polished. I will probably do polished on the dually and stock on the Jimmy

Well, I was getting pretty excited about doing woodgrain instead of brushed aluminum, especially since I knew that a local yard had a mint gauge bezel and dash trim in woodgrain. But..... they sold it since I was there last. So, back to brushed aluminum it is then.

Most of my order from Classic Parts came today. The aftermarket dash is from "Dashes Direct" and so far I am impressed with it. I haven't actually bolted it in, but it does look and feel just like the factory dash.

My new door panels are NOS. I already got started on getting them dyed. I also dyed the carpet insert, which are original from my K5. I did pick up a set of the brushed alum door trim and a couple of the strap covers from a local yard today, but am not positive if I'm going to use them or not. They are pretty darned clean, but there is a couple scratches on them.
