actually, starting with a 2wd truck like a couple of us have, the Chevy axle isnt any harder than the Ford axle. i actually started out with a Chevy D44 and a 700R4/241 out of a 91 Burb. when my lift specs were changed beyond my control, i started looking at Ford HP44s. i just happened to stumbe onto this HP60, and jumped on it.blazin_blazer said:he's doing a sas! people around here are swaping the old drive train and all into their trucks when they go sas, i don't understand why, when it's seems so much easier to swing that ford front under it and get a drive shaft made.
78-79 F250 with the snow plow package, or a 78-79 F350.i've been hunting for a ford front d60. i guess i need to start doing a little home work on year models and such to find out widths and everything else involved in such a swap, but going with the ford front it seem it should be pretty straight forward.
