Ideas on mounting stock gauges outside the cluster?

No, it's all good, I may not be able to run an aftermarket gauge holder, but it gives ideas on what I might be able to make.

You could also run a switch to share one gauge with multiple senders.

That's an even better idea. Had considered that for the coolant gauge in the cluster, but want to keep problems to a minimum with the cluster.

Had not thought of just running two signal wires to the removable gauge. Perfect!

In case anyone was ever curious what a 465 might run temp-wise, I saw just over 210* on the gauge while pulling multiple decent grades for long periods. Ambient temp mid 70's, second gear, 25-35MPH. No trailer, maybe 500lbs of extra gear.

Cruising for 2 hours on relatively flat ground, speeds from 35-55, temp never went much over 100*. Noticed on the way back that once temperature climbed up to about 150* from some moderate hills, it did not drop back down even though I was travelling the same surface street route at the same speeds.

Temperature climbs pretty slowly even under the heavier load of the hills and second.

Nothing real explosive from this information, everything I saw for temps is pretty much what I expected, but at least I know my temp setup works.
