IFS lift question Differrence between 1/2 and 3/4 ton.

Is there a differrence between IFT lift kits for a 1/2 ton and 8 lug 3/4 ton?
Basically will a 8 lug 3/4 ton lift work on a 1/2 ton? I have been told thing but am not EXACTLY sure, maybe Ill just call and find out. thanks

I seem to recall reading that they each have a different part number. The size of the front diff housing is different between them, so each would require its own set of mounting brackets. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

the split is between the 6lug and the 8lug ifs trucks. the drop brackets are different and require different kits. the good thing is that a 6lug 3/4ton will take a 1/2ton ifs lift kit.
