Hey Gunny65, Here is your sector shaft! I just have to get it out. Do you think I can take it out without removing the whole box?

Did you happen to grab a headlights bezel for me?
I am soooo jealous of your local junkyards,I would spent every weekend wandering though them if I had some like that.
 
NO! The one I did get had the plastic clips broken off 2 of the 4 mounting points. I did not forget you though. I will get you one!:waytogo:

As for that sector shaft... Take the pitman arm off and the four bolts on top and it lifts right out. Did mine about a week ago:waytogo:
 
Cool.Thanks For the tip. I will need to buy a new pitman arm puller. The last one I bought from Harbor Freight broke. Shocker. This time I will get a good one.

The 2wd pitman arms usually will let go with a couple wraps from above with a ford wrench... But a puller is a better way to go.

If you happen across a 95-99 Suburban or Tahoe, I could use the rear hatch release / wiper switch off the dash... Both mine are in sorry shape..

I got my doorlock caps today, thanks alot buddy! Now I can dispose of the one broke black and other fake plastic chrome one that was in it when I got it

Dude, Autozone lets me barrow tools for 2 weeks with no charge. I currently have a power steering pump pulley remover from the Sunday I went to bakersfield. Need to return it :doah:

You're yards aren't the only ones that suck! Just went and spent two hours at the local junk yard and only managed to come out with two side marker lenses. Only needed one but had to get the two I found cause they had chrome trim and my only good one doesn't have the trim.
 
What is the going price for a 4wd steering box? Mine is leaking pretty bad! I need one that has the standard fittings, not the flared metric ones. Does anyone know the year cut-off that they switched these?
 
I have one that you can HAVE. I'll be able to send it out next Wednesday or Thursday if you want it. Prolly be 20-25 bucks to ship if you want it.
 
Can you see what they want for the Brush guard on the red one? Also do you think it would work on a 87? It says it is on a 1980.

I would think I could get it for around $50.00. I bet shipping would be around $150.

I sold and shipped a set of Bushwacker cut out fender flares. And that was $50 due to the size.

I will check it out for you tomorrow.

I'm going to hit up a yard or two tomorrow.
