what a D!CK!!!!

If I was the rollback driver I woulda told the cop "ill get here when I get here, and maybe you should have know better that a rollback can't hold a truck thats 10' fockin high". The requirements to become a cop are so stupid easy and they have so much fockin power.

A cop in my hometown killed himself by chasing a kid on a street bike over 100mph. The cop was driving a police tahoe and hit an embankment. Fockin people in town were up in arms over it, they wanted this kid to get the death pentalty and the kid on the bike got away but turned himself in a few days later from guilt. Kid is in jail for a long time now. He got WAY more time, because the cop was killed. I say a cop thats dumb enough to chase a streetbike at speeds over 100mph in a TAHOE deserves what he gets. Does that mean that when I get pulled over and the cop gets hit by a car while issuing me a lift law ticket I should get manslaugter charges?!

What a stupid d!ck of a cop! Hope everything works out all right!

Yup. Nothing like someone in violation of the law and having to pay the consequences of his actions and it's all the cop's fault.......................

Nothing wrong with paying the consequences, but there is no reason the cop has to be an absolute jerk about it...

Yup. nopthing like a cop being more professional and calling someone else's rig a "redneck piece os sh!t". tastefully done. we all know he's doing his job. he just could have done it more professionally

hay bubba i am a state inspector in my state. have you ever sat down and read all the rules and stuff for passing a vehicle. ?

i have and all i can say is what a joke. thay fail you for a plate light out but you can have flinstone floor boards and 4 ball joints falling out and i have to give you a sticker.

some older backwoods states dont have clear cut rules and stuff on lifts. heck in my state its super vauge as to year and also what is measured. i have looked lots of places.

we are not trashing all cops just this joker he had the problem with. if he had done his job in a better way the whole thing could have been handled better we all think. i think he just wanted to trash the driver and there rig.

and as a inspector for motor vehicles in my state well over 1/2 of the cops are ones to talk as to the condition and expired stickers on there rides.

yep i have yet to find out what our lift law is here. they make it harder to find than the fountain of youth. go to the state trooper they send you to the DMV. wild goose chase. we went camping here and they had a road block set up. well my friends truck (now mine) has 9 inches of lift and 39's. the cop was gonna let us go but another cop was like "i think that truck has to be over the limit" they had no measuring tape so there went that idea, plus they didn't know the height limit their selves. they didn't even know what a seatbelt citation cost. some cops just skim their way by while other take their job seriously. the skimmers make the professionals look bad.

personally i dont see that truck as redneck.

that truck is super clean and really nice. doesnt appear to be a hack job either. that cop was being rude.

i hate it when cops made remarks like that. sure if you arent in compliance with the law you pay the consequences, but being a dick isnt necessary

I sure don't see any reason for the truck to be impounded, other than being a Ford:wink1: ...ticketed if anything, but not impounded. Perfect example of a probable rookie officer doing it "because he could." BTW, been a cop for the better part of 10 yrs, and if I pulled somebody over in a truck like that it would just be to check it out!

well, according to my friend the D.A., the guy should have given a"vehicle inspection" ticket where i would just have to "repair defects pionted out within 30 days" and then i would so to the local state police barracks for them to check to see if the problem was resolved. the ONLY time it should be impounded is if it "presents a serious risk of accident or injury to the driver, passenger, pedestrians, other drivers or the environment".
maybe it's just me, but my truck doesn't present a safety hazzard by any means! i have 6 piston calipers on all 4 wheels! it stops better and faster than most cars!

Were you guys there? Did you actually hear the cop say that?:wink1:

Don't have to worry about it since we don't have that here. Like has been mentioned before, each state has their own rules.

Again, it goes back to my first statement in this post. Time and again, someone will have some sort of enforcement action taken on them. The cop won't say much of anything and by the time the person gets back to the party, the encounter with the cop is totally blown out of proportion and people are telling the poor schuck to get a lawyer and sue everyone and their second cousin for excessive force.

Have you actually read the law? And just because you spent some serious coin on some bling bling brakes doesn't deem a vehicle road worthy.

seems as though Bubba has a hard-on for cops. watch out Gibby 2268. bwahahahaha

that may have been over the line but i'm always crossing lines i shouldn't. maybe that's why cops here don't like me.

Thats dead on true there! There may have been more to the story, but I don't understand it being impounded instead of cited:doah: . He may have honestly felt that it was a major safety violation, or he may have felt like being a major prick...I wasn't there so I don't know, but I have been around enough to know that unfortunately, there are way too many of those out there. There are the exception, but with the younger bunch thats starting these days, sometimes I wonder.

Thank you for that well thought out, insightful commentary. Maybe next time, you can just revert to schoolyard name calling since you apparently don't have the stomach to handle a conversation with people who might happen to have a little more insight to the subject than you do.

For a lot of folks, and it shows most definitely in this thread, they could really care less what the law states about stuff and a lot of them have absolutely no need to actually research it and think about it before they go "click, click, tappity tap tap" on some keyboard. Of course, there's always the "I'm friends with so and so, this that and the other" comments that they make like they're someone special. It's those reliances they possess that brings up questions about their personalities.

what a D**K. dang city slickers like him make us rednecks look bad. he's just jealous cause he grew up in the city with no land and we can have fun all night drinking and tearing it up. lol no for real though i hate cops like that.

being a city guy has nothing to do with it. it's 100% about that cop being a dumbass. i've lived in major cities my entire life and while i that ford isn't my style, i certainly have no problem with it. better than all the z71s i see slammed. that's just depressing to see a 4x4 with 4" of drop on it.

I don't think the new guy knows Bubba.

I would think that a truck with 20" of lift sitting on coilovers that are clearly not original equipment, and 49" tires is going to get stopped everyday of the week and given tickets for every little thing under the sun.
That is not a truck that should be driven on the street as a daily driver truck IMO.
