Looks good. I remember when my 355 was new and all hugger orange. Man it looked great. I wasn't happy with myself when I first got it all dirty. Oh and I was wrong about something yesterday. Your motor is a 356 not a 358. 358 would be .060 over.

I was going to ask the same question. I like the way the front tubes go down instead of back and then down after the 5 and 6 tubes. Nice!!

Do yourself a favor and take those headers of and coat them with something before they look like this.

i didnt buy them though i have hooker comp headers and they suck i keep going trough plug wires with them even with the taylor boot covers..

What should I coat them with?? they came painted black, which baked right off of them... I can't think of any paint except a powder coat that can stand up to the 1200* + temperatures in those headers...
By the way, they are the $90.00 Summit headers, and don't fit quite right... a little cutting and bending was needed, but they are solid now...

I wouldn't bother coating them, they are cheep enough to replace in 5yrs when the flanges warp on you.....most of the 'thinner' headers will always warp in time.

I don't think it is worth the $300 to coat $90 headers.

PO-20 is a paint that withstands 1400 degrees and is only $17 a pint. Not very expensive and won't take long at all. I know they may warp in 5 years, but they look like crap for 5 years next to the beautifull engine. That is what i will use on my new headers. It's sold on por15.com

From what i've heard on this site 1500 degree paint comes off in a couple weeks.
Might just have been lack of prep work.
IMO Don't even bother coating them unless you want to have chipped burnt paint all over your engine compartment again.
if you want coated headers you should just buy em... dynomax has some real cheap ceramic coated headers for around 250. sounds like a lot but thats pretty good for ceramic full length truck headers.
