Sears is having a sale on the Ingersoll-Rand 3/8 inch impact wrench they carry. Normally around $190, but going for $150. For those of you that have never used a 3/8 inch impact wrench, you are missing out. You can tear an engine down a lot quicker if you are using this little puppy. You could actually tear anything down quicker. The neat thing about it is the weight, and 10,000 rpm free speed. Super light and super fast, AND has a 4 level power setting, AND can produce up to 260 WORKING PSI!!! That is pretty amazing in a little 3/8 inch impact wrench. And the 4 power level setting can keep you from screwing up and stripping out bolts, care should still be taken, but it makes life way easier.

Spam feel? Doesn't everyone talk like that when describing something to friends.

it just seems to me that hees tryin to gaim a litle respect

Thanks for passing along the info. I already have one of these and the are very helpful. Its probably the one i use the most out of all the ones i have. It is very powerful and very easy to get into those hard to reach spots. And at that price you cant go wrong.

I have a full IR 1/2" air gun, is this still useful?
I have the air ratchet too, but I dunno if that 3/8th is that much more use in my tool set.

I have one of these in my toolbox at work and I beat the hell out of it and it still works awesome after over a year. I like it more than my 1/2 drive.

A 3/8 impact is a waste of time and money IMO.

I love my IR 2135TI though. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

You know what??? I am a little offended! I was just trying to pass on a great deal on a tool that I really like. And if you guys think that I am trying to "SELL" you something, you are right. ALL that I was trying to do was sell you my respect. I thought you guys would like to know about a sale on a great tool, but who knows. You all seem like a good bunch of guys, but we all need to get along. I am not mad at anyone, but just a little offended, no big deal right? Thanks For Your Time.

not a big deal man, some copanies disguise themselfs as real people and come on here trying to sell stuff with out buying a membership, and i personally dont think thats cool, But i dont think Sears would even bother with something like that. Anyway thanks alot for the info!!!

You ever owned a 3/8 impact?

Nope. Used one before though, not enough power. No reason to buy one.

I do own an air ratchet if I want to use a gutless tool.

I really enjoy reading what this forum has to offer. When I am on the internet, this is the only place I roam around on. I can kind of see how it sounded like SPAM. More my fault.

The 3/8 gun is not intended to replace your 1/2 gun. Its ment to pick up the little jobs.

Pulling an intake off,Starter, any of the front drive acc, I can see it not being very useful to some people but they do save alot of time IMO

Well I use one every day, and I find more uses for it than my 1/2, and this is on large diesel engines.

If I wrenched every day maybe I'd agree with you.

I dont see how you can say that, once you start using one you'll always use it. It makes jobs way easier and quicker. I mean yes its not for every job but on the right ones it makes all the difference.

I have Matco 3/8 and 1/2 guns which are basically the same as IR. I use them everyday and I would be lost without my 3/8 gun. My 3/8 gun is stronger than some the old timers 1/2 guns around our shop.
