Inline Fuse? Fuel pump relay? UPDATE

Compliments of Zoomad
At the coil terminal A is a pink wire with power in run and crank. My listing has power coming from the ecm 1 fuse. Ecm 1 fuse also feeds power to the ignition control module and crank sensor.

Check for power at the ecm 1 fuse then at terminal a on the coil and terminal a at the ignition module.

If you have power at both, if be curious if you are seeing a crank signal from the crank sensor. You would need a scan tool to see it though.

Do you unplug the connector and check the end of the pink wire or check it with it plugged in and put probe in? Either way, I didn't have voltage with key on. And no voltage at ECM fuse port.

I removed the ECM fuse on the fuse box with the harness and did not get voltage there. Definitely confusing. Is the fuse box voltage being supplied by the ignition wire? If so, I know there is voltage on the ignition wire before it reaches the fuse box.

I notice that when the key is on.......those 4 relays on the fuse box get very warm. :dunno:

the ecm fuse should get power from the ignition switch, in run and start

Looks like I'm going to have to go through this fuse box and see if a wire isn't making a good connection. I'm betting this is the reason the truck won't fire up.

Thanks for all the input.

UPDATE:

I've been texting with @Magikal and got some more input. And the results.........................................IT'S ALIVE AND RUNNING!!!!!!!!!

What I found out is there is a stud/nut on the back of the fuse box. Odd, never noticed it before. But if you hook up Ignition Hot to that stud it powers the fuse box. Go figure. I didn't get any instructions or indication that it needed 12V keyed. Thanks again, Magikal. So I hooked up a temporary jumper and BAM. It started without any hesitation. I added some transmission fluid and antifreeze while it was running to help top it off. Then after it warmed up I shut it down for the night.

The next chapter starts tomorrow.

Thank you to all that chimed in and helped me get this K5 started......it's been a long 2 years.

I know the feeling. Mine was not running for over 10 years and it finally came to life last year. Congrats!
