That was a nice one but I had to let it go last year to buy the excavator. The guy that bought it is in the middle of an LS swap and upgrades. While i love the IH, I have a soft spot for this one. View attachment 408405
Or he gets the tires and I get the rest of the truck... and Cargostar becomes a car hauler project. Hmm.Spent this evening looking at trucks with friends... decent running 1977 IHC Loadstar with a working bed hoist. He wants the cab/ front sheetmetal and new tires forthe 4x4 Loadstar. I want the bed hoist for the Deuce and PTO system for the Cargostar. I'm sure there will be other good parts we will use as well. I drove it to a friend's property after purchase as well.
That would make a sweet car hauler.Or he gets the tires and I get the rest of the truck... and Cargostar becomes a car hauler project. Hmm.
Do you know who made the pivot assembly or is it made in house at OSW?I took a trip to grab new mud flaps today. Also was able to look at a truck that uses this hinge assembly to confirm how it needs to be notched into the frame. That gave me more ideas when I saw the light mounts integrated into the rear of the frame and bought those panels as well.

Tonight, I cut a couple feet off the back of the frame and notched it to fit the pivot assembly. I am mounting the pivot 3/4" proud of the frame to account for the doubler plate and rivet heads. I will need to make spacer plates to run the length of the frame that have clearance holes for the rivet heads.

I found a deal on a plow for my friend's 4x4 Loadstar so I ran to grab it while he was out of town. 12 foot wide x 4 foot tall blade plus the pivot assembly came in at 2640 lb.
