Just wanted to say hi

Hello every one, I live in Florida and love to get out in the woods I have a 1985 3/4 ton chevy which I am looking to fix up.

New 76 Chevrolet K 20 owner

Dear board members,

I am a new Chevrolet truck owner living in Amsterdam (the Netherlands)

I recently bought a 76 Chevy K 20 millitary truck with a auto transmission.

Its a truck with the usual rust on the fenders and cabin floor.

Technicaly i have a few things to repair/adjust

The shifter on the steering colum needs adjusting/repair

When moving from park to drive the indicator is not standing in the drive position but between drive and 1 the same thing in the reverse position
I noticed also that it is not locked

This is vary anoying if you have to shift from drive to reverse and back, especially in the evening sins my dashboard lights are not working at the moment ( i need help on that also )

As i have my own technical workshop , i can do most thing myself.

I did not have the time to buy a technical/owner manual yet, not knowing witch is best for me,becouse its a millitary model.

I know that the shifting linking is adjustable, but i want the shifter to be locked in the drive/reverse/position as well !!!

please help !!!

Thanks Anthony

Hello

Hello guys my name is Mike and I don't actually have a K5 but a 1978 full size truck. But as you guys know there arn't very many full size sites. This one however looks like alot of fun.

Hey all - been lurking for a while after following a cummins repower link from the TDR. I do have to say that I enjoy reading CK5, but have yet to post anything.. ..until now..

For now, our garage overfloweth with a 2002 Z71 Tahoe, a 1989 Silverado 3500 2wd CC (my repower experiment), a 1998.5 Dodge 3500 4x4 24v CTD, a 1931 Ford 5 window coupe (powered by a 336 Chevy), and a 1987 Buick Grand National. I got the bills to prove it!!!! :D

Costinmizer

New to the group. Have been an owner of several K5 blazers. 1969, 1972,1976, 1986, two 1989's. I have custom built all these trucks. My speciality has been 80 cj's that I have built. I switch to the blazers because they are heavy enough to pull my boats with out pulling the rig down the boat ramps. Seems to be a great site, and I have learn several things already.

hello

hello, my name is ......., and Im a blazerholic. I live in alberta canada, I absolutely love these trucks and I'm happy to have found a forum that deals more specifically to my habit....doh! :o I mean "disease", yeah disease thats what it is. Ive always had a soft spot for the fullsize blazer/jimmy trucks my first one was an 81 2wd, which I bought from a dealer in town where i live. I have aquired a few more of these trucks since that first one, 4 or 5 mabey and a few suburbans, but who's counting? (my wife)! She loves them too, I hope! ;)
