A 1980 with Silverado trim will have RPO V22, which means it will have square headlights......

Martin

Well, looks like a roundeye from the side. :o

I have a square eye, so it's all good. hahaha.

I had a 77 with that trim, I guess that's what got me.

you have a 77 with silverado trim? seems unlikely considering the sliverado package was first available in 1980, maybe you have something very similar i'd love to see pictures of your '77:o

No, i HAD a 77, and by trim i meant bodyside molding.

Good morning everyone,

My name is Hugh and I live in VA.

I signed up because I had a 78 Jimmy back when I was in the Navy and I'm looking to get into another. I really miss that ride. I'm here for an education on both what they are worth now and what mods I need to do to have a reliable off road toy.

I have some ideas - junkyard 5.3 with a turbo, coilover suspension, 37's but low CG, probably run some of the prerunner style fenders for clearance, cage. I want something I can safely take my two boys in.

I currently drive a Raptor but have a very long history of GM products.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

H

Newbe

Howdy. Bolting together my first GM prouduct. Needed to put together a rig I could load the family up in & go play. I have a 90 Sub, shortened with the back half of the top cut off. Pickup bed tail stops at the rear shackle. Dually Dana 60's, Trail Worthy double beads, 42" TSLs, Hydro boost, ORD crossover, DIY shackle flip & B-52s, stock TBI 350, Turbo 400 & a 205. Its coming together nicely, should roll under its own power before the snow flys. Looking forward to hammering on this thing for years to come & keeping my kids interested in doing cool stuff with dad.
